- Acute onset pre-existing coverage has strict official conditions (timing, age, and eligibility).
- Acute onset coverage requires treatment within 24 hours and applies only if traveling outside the home country.
- The acute onset age condition in the 2025 Atlas Nomads brochure is under age 70.
- Chronic/congenital progression is not treated as acute onset under official definitions.
- Travel intent to obtain treatment and non-compliant medical-travel scenarios are excluded.
- EE. UU. vs fuera de EE. UU. claim contexts can change copays/conditions tied to plan terms.
- Some ancillary benefits have separate per-item/per-event caps and specific qualifying triggers.
- Final exclusions must be read from current policy documents and specimen policy wording.
